SEPTEMBER 2020

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

  • Organizing an online meeting with partners to analyze the state of achievement of project objectives and to establish a joint implementation plan for September 2020-February 2021, following the decision to extend the implementation period.
  •  Information in the first meeting of the Teachers ‘Council, the School Board, the Parents’ Representative Council and in meetings with students and parents on the analysis of questionnaires applied in June to a representative sample of students, teachers, and parents in order to assess the impact and activities carried out between September 2019 and June 2020.
  •  Printing the Taste of the Sea brochure, which includes recipes made by students from all partner schools.
  • Updating the Erasmus+ panel with photos illustrating relevant aspects of the activities carried out.
  •  Updating with the information of public interest the online spaces dedicated to the project and the folder with the specific documents.
  • Recording the ways of carrying out the activities in worksheets, reports, and minutes.
  • Dissemination of relevant aspects of the activities carried out and the results obtained within the project in an online workshop, organized at the European level by the EU4Ocean Coalition from Lisbon-Portugal.
  • Organizing activities for the exploitation of the final products made within the project.

OCTOBER 2020

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

  • Participation of the project coordinator and the financial manager at the meeting on the final reporting organized online on the Zoom platform by the National Agency, for the beneficiaries of KA229 projects approved in 2018 (Romania coordinators).
  • Dissemination of relevant aspects of the activities carried out and of the results obtained during the events organized on the occasion of the Erasmus + Days
  • Completing and sending the application form in order to obtain the European Quality Certificate, as a result of the project on the eTwinning platform. (https://live.etwinning.net/projects)
  • Organizing an online seminar on SEA LIFE PRESERVATION in which students from partner schools exchanged information on the protection and conservation of the marine environment.   • Celebration of the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE BLACK SEA by organizing activity of exploitation of the final products made within the project, entitled SEA – IN WORDS AND COLORS, in which students made literary and plastic creations dedicated to the Sea, inspired by brochures containing stories, legends, and poems awarded in literary competitions organized at the partnership level.
  • Writing a press release that was posted on the ISJ Constanța forum (https://forum.isjcta.ro/index.php?topic=44329.0), later becoming a news item in the daily Cuget liber (https://www.cugetliber.ro/stiri-cultura-educatie-marea-neagra-sarbatorita-de-elevii-scolii-lucian-grigorescu-din-medgidia-415568)

NOVEMBER 2020

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

  • The members of the project team participated in a seminar entitled New methodologies for learning, organized by the partner school in Italy in collaboration with the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Palermo. During the seminar, teachers from all partner schools discussed ways to integrate new technologies in teaching and exchanging good practices. (https://youtu.be/YJF2dkRhbJs)
  • The project coordinator participated in the information session for schools running a thematic project to obtain European Blue School certificates. This session, organized at the European level by the EU4Ocean Coalition in Lisbon-Portugal, an initiative funded by the European Commission, was a good opportunity to present the website of the project and the final product achieved as a result of its implementation.
  • Realization of the ERASMUS+ SNAPSHOTS video and its registration in the “2’ Erasmus+” contest initiated by the Constanța School Inspectorate, in order to promote the county, national and European level of the Erasmus + Program and the examples of good practices. (https://youtu.be/qBV1lwjo_pk)

DECEMBER 2020

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

  • 2 members of the project team received the First Prize for making the video “Erasmus+ Snapshots” entered in the contest “2′ of Erasmus+” initiated by the School Inspectorate Constanța, for promotion at the county level, Erasmus + Program and examples of good practice.   • The students of the gymnasium classes, during the online courses, were preoccupied with the same passion for the project! Using their imagination, they made themed greeting cards for the winter holidays. At the same time, the electronic greeting cards and the videos made proved that they have digital skills and that they are very creative. Their works were posted on the Facebook page of the project, to the delight of all partners.

JANUARY 2021

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

  • Interdisciplinary lessons were conducted online through which students enriched their knowledge of the Black Sea and discussed the problems it faces. Using various web 2.0 applications, they solved puzzles, described in WordArt the sea and the Erasmus + Program, drew, made videos and PowerPoint presentations.
  • 4th grade A students imaginarily traveled the Black Sea and found answers to their curiosities about the marine environment.
  • What do I know about the sea? How did the sea form? Who lives in its depths? These are just some of the questions that preoccupied the students of Preparatory Class C… They received appropriate answers, thus becoming familiar with the first information about the marine ecosystem and the opportunity to live near the sea. Keeping the playful and fun note, they cut, rolled, glued, and thus made from paper works entitled Pisces in the waves of the sea.
  • The monitoring visit of the project implementation from ISJ Constanța took place, carried out by the inspector for educational projects. On this occasion, the project coordinator, the school principal, and 15 students completed questionnaires referring to aspects of its development. After verifying the documents and the evaluation, the inspector concluded: The project was very attractive for students and teachers due to the diversity of activities included in the implementation plan, which led to the involvement of the entire school community. The involvement, originality, and creativity of students and teachers have materialized in quality final products, both through graphics and especially through content. Together, they have managed to create a diverse range of educational resources that enrich the teaching materials of partner schools, and by posting them online, they can be accessed free of charge as learning sources for those interested. We congratulate the project team and all those involved in its implementation and we wish them to continue carrying out activities with the same perseverance and dedication as before!
  • The program of activities dedicated to the celebration of the School Day, included the dissemination of the relevant aspects and the results obtained within the project through a PowerPoint presentation and a set of questions regarding the implementation of the Erasmus + project. The correct answers of the participating students were proof that they have a thorough knowledge of its development so far. There were artistic moments! The students awarded at the Poems of the Sea and Sea competitions in stories and legends read their creations, and Badea Andreea (former member of the project team, currently a student in the ninth grade) and Raftu Sara, from the sixth grade Ah, they delighted the audience with their wonderful voices, performing songs dedicated to the sea. The activity ended with solving an acrostic with the theme “ERASMUS” and singing the anthem of the project.
  • In order to make known the activities carried out, a press release was drafted which was posted on the Forum of the Constanța County School Inspectorate (https://forum.isjcta.ro/index.php?topic=44711.0), which later became news in a regional daily (https://www.cugetliber.ro/redirect-stiri-cultura-educatie-sarbatoare-la-scoala-lucian-grigorescu-din-medgidia-421679)
  • Methodical meeting of teachers from Medgidia was a good opportunity to disseminate the activities carried out in the two years of project implementation, as well as the results obtained. The participants had words of appreciation to the project team and the school for all the achievements while expressing their desire to carry out a European project in their school.
  • Updating the project website with information of public interest.

FEBRUARY 2021

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

  • In the art education classes, the students of the gymnasium classes captured the beauty of the sea in drawings and paintings, managing to create a summer atmosphere in their classrooms;
  • Primary school students used their creativity by making comics or by composing lyrics, stories and legends about the SEA;
  • The students made symbols of the spring, called in Romania “mărţişoare”, using marine elements, which they gave to the teachers and their mothers;
  • Important aspects of the project were inserted in the article “Project Journal” published in issue 19 of the school magazine, “Childhood Labyrinth”, launched within the program of activities dedicated to the School Day;

MARCH 2021

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:

  • March began with an online meeting between partners to discuss the implementation plan for the new extension period of the project, respectively until August 31, 2021, if about the staging of the play Traveling with Ulysses.
  • Students in the 4th grade Step by Step used their creativity and skill to create “textile” fish, which were given as a player to their younger classmates.
  • The members of the project team organized activities for the dissemination and exploitation of the results at the level of other school from Medgidia.
  • The coordinator and 2 members of the project team participated in a webinar that aimed to promote the level of European schools of the concept of Blue Economy. Various ways and useful materials were presented that can support teachers in organizing thematic activities with students. The seminar was organized at the European level by IDEC S.A. – Greece, Erasmus + Blue Schools Project.
  • Completing the registration forms for two students at the International Literary and Photo / Film Creation Contest “I live by the Sea”, organized by the EU4Ocean Coalition.
  • On the occasion of World Water Day, celebrated this year under the generic Value of Water, students made drawings/paintings and slogans that showed how important it is for all of us, and through educational games discovered new and interesting information about these resources limiting, becoming aware of price and education with taking care of it.
  • The project coordinator, with the support of the team, prepared the documents in order to carry out the monitoring visits of the implementation stage by the NA.
  • The person in charge of dissemination, in collaboration with the partners, made an album with photos that capture the most significant aspects of the project.

  • Carrying out hours of practical skills, through which students made plastic works or special thematic objects;

  • Collecting data from all partners in order to write the final report;
  • Editing a press release in order to disseminate the relevant aspects of the project implementation during three years and its results and post it on online environment.
