Activities carried out:

  • Organizing activities to collect sea things for the Artcraft contest;
  • Explanation about how Joan Miró did his Art creations with 5th and 6th graders;
  • Watch some films about tropical seas and their colourful species to inspire the creation for the art contest with 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders;
  • Show and practice different techniques to create a sea art product;
  • Involve parents to make them show different fishes to the children to help them draw fishes in the art creations;
  • Organizing an Artcraft contest between all the students in Primary levels;
  • Make sea creations with wood in the nursery school;
  • Publication of activities produced on Facebook and Instagram;
  • Sharing of the ecological problem and plastic waste with all students in the school;
  • Dissemination of the results obtained.

Results:

  • Ppt summary of the activities done through photos and report to share with all students in the school;
  • Collection of tropical sea films;
  • Different art productions related with Joan Miró and different techniques;
  • Different art productions with sea elements, with different techniques and sea topic for an art contest;
  • Awareness of pollution of the sea due to micro-plastic of all the school;
  • Wood productions related to sea;
  • Collection of sea things to make the art contest productions;
  • Exposition with all creations to be voted by teachers;
  • Dissemnation through Facebook, Instagram and Webpage.

Objectives achieved:

  • To involve families for collect sea things and see different fishes that we have around;
  • To know some information about Joan Miró and different art techniques;
  • To make an imaginative creation with sea things related with the sea, with different materials and techniques;
  • To explain in english and catalan the meeting in Portugal and different topics related with the preservation of the environment and the bad effects of plastics on it;
  • Involve students in research activities that contribute to the formation of an ecological and civic behaviour;
  • Approach the problems of the marine ecosystem through videos and debates;
  • Encourage the learning of foreign languages;
  • Development of innovative ITC.
